Corporate & Executive Events at The Parlour
The Parlour is a private, exclusive-use dining room in Britomart built for corporate hosting — from client lunches and leadership dinners to confidential executive and VIP events. Seating up to 44 guests (50 standing), it gives Auckland businesses a discreet, fully private space away from a public restaurant floor.

Built for business hosting, not just a private room
Whether you're an executive assistant organising a board dinner, a corporate events manager hosting client entertainment, or a team leader planning an end-of-year function, The Parlour is designed around the same priority every corporate organiser shares: the event has to run smoothly and reflect well on you.
We regularly host:
- Client dinners and client lunches
- Executive and leadership team dinners
- Board meetings and strategy day dinners
- Government, diplomatic and institutional lunches
- Investor and stakeholder events
- Team celebrations and end-of-year functions
- Corporate lunches and networking functions
If your event involves guests whose experience reflects on your organisation — clients, executives, board members, government representatives or visiting delegations — this is exactly the setting The Parlour was built for.
Privacy and exclusive use
For many corporate and executive bookings, privacy matters as much as the food. The Parlour offers exclusive use of the room for groups of 28 or more at no extra cost, so conversations — including commercially sensitive or confidential ones — stay within your group. Smaller groups can also secure the room exclusively for a full room hire charge. Our team is experienced in hosting discreet, high-trust events where discretion and a polished, professional service standard are the priority, not an afterthought.
The dining experience
Menus are banquet-style and designed for sharing, drawing on two award-winning kitchens in the same building — Vietnamese-inspired dishes from Café Hanoi and Chinese-inspired dishes from Ghost Street. Shared dining works well for corporate groups because it keeps decision-making simple for organisers, encourages conversation across the table, and avoids the formality of a plated, courses-only service. Dietary requirements — including vegetarian, vegan, gluten-free, coeliac, dairy-free, halal and allergy considerations — are accommodated as a matter of course; just let us know in advance.
Drinks can be pre-ordered or hosted, with a curated selection of wines, cocktails, beers and non-alcoholic options. Billing can be consolidated, and we can arrange up to four separate payment splits per event if your group needs it.
Capacity and room setup
The Parlour seats up to 44 guests, or accommodates up to 50 for a standing, canapé-style event — well suited to networking functions, product launches and less formal corporate gatherings. The room can be configured for seated dining or a mix of seated and standing, and we have a speaker and microphone available for toasts or short presentations (screens are guest-provided). Access is via the Café Hanoi entrance on the Mezzanine Level, 27 Galway Street, Britomart, with a lift and wheelchair access available from Customs Street.
Common questions from corporate organisers
Is the room private, and can we discuss confidential matters?
Yes. Exclusive use is available for groups of 28+ at no extra cost, and our team is experienced in hosting private client, board and executive events where discretion is essential.
Can we be invoiced, and what are the payment terms?
Please speak with our events team when enquiring — we can talk through invoicing, payment terms and splitting payments across your group where needed.
Is the venue suitable for a large delegation or hosted VIP guests?
Yes. We've hosted groups ranging from small executive lunches of 4–12 guests through to larger leadership dinners and delegations of 30–40, and can recommend the right room configuration for your group.
Can presentations or short speeches be accommodated?
In most cases, yes — we have a speaker and microphone on hand. Let us know your requirements when you enquire so we can plan accordingly.
How much notice do we need to give if plans change?
We understand corporate schedules shift. Subject to availability, we'll do our best to accommodate changes to guest numbers or timing — just let us know as soon as possible. A minimum spend of $500 NZD applies, and cancellation costs of $250 may apply with less than 48 hours' notice.
